Art conservation requires a profound knowledge about pictorial materials composition, interaction and degradation processes: for this reason, databases are very useful in heritage science.
The Foundation Centre for Conservation and Restoration of cultural heritage La Venaria Reale (CCR) in collaboration with the National Institute of Metrological Research (INRIM) and Laboratorio Analisi Scientifiche of Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta (LAS) are pleased to present this database of diagnostic analyses carried out on about 1200 combinations of pictorial materials.
