Comparison of Four Spectrometric Techniques
The reflection spectra of six selected colours in the Camera Trax® used by photographers have been measured with our technology, and with other spectrometric techniques as Long Crystal Tunable Filters and reference Spectrophotometer. In this way we were able to estimate the SNR for every techniques showing that our device has a lowest SNR, with respect to other spectrometric methods.

Result: Reflection spectra
We have measured the 6 colours of the Camera Trax® with four different techniques:
a reference spectrophotometer (REF),
the LCTF,
the Fabry-Perot interferometer at high resolution (FP HI RES),
the Fabry-Perot interferometer at lower resolution (FP LOW RES).
Similar SNR have been obtained for the two techniques with the following total exposure times:
F-P 400 pictures with 2 ms exposure time each for a total exposure time of about 1 s
LCTF 43 pictures with variable exposure times ranging from 1s to 20 ms for a total exposure time of 8 s.
