We report the preliminary results of the hyperspectral imaging of the Processional Cross with (c.1500) attributed to Raffaello Sanzio (1484-1520) belonging to Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Milan, Italy. The measurements are carried out at the CCR (Centro Conservazione e Restauro “La Venaria Reale”). In Fig 1 the set up of the experiment with the hyperspectral imager at the bottom left hand corner of the picture, the Xeno lamp at the bottom right hand corner and the Cross in the centre.
In Fig 2 a picture of the hyperspectral imager where the circular interference fringes on the Fabry-Perot interferometer mirror are clearly visible.
In Fig. 3 the reflectance spectra of different regions from Saint Peter hyperimage. We have obtained the spectra from the gold leaf, from the blue background and from the grey cloth on the left shoulder of Saint Peter.e
