Multi-label Fluorescence Spectra
A new experiment with fluorescent dyes has been carried on. A single hypercube of a sample marked with different fluorescent molecules has been obtained. In this way it has been possible to unambiguously discriminate the different fluorophores by observing their spectral fingerprints. An experiment carried out with cyanines, fluorescein and quantum dots emitting in the yellow-orange region demonstrates the potentiality of multi-labeled fluorescence microscopy without the use of multiple filter set or dispersive means.
